Jeff grew up in North Carolina, graduating from N. C. State in 1981 with a B.S. in Food Science. He later graduated with a Masters and a Doctorate from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. During his college years he was actively involved in campus evangelism and discipleship with Campus Crusade for Christ. God called Jeff, during one of Crusade’s Christmas Conferences, “to go anywhere and to do anything.” The “go anywhere and do anything” has included Children’s, Youth and College Internships in churches in N.C. and Texas. His favorite Internship was at Hyde Park Baptist Church in Austin under the direction of Dr. Ralph Smith and Rev. Bob Edd Shotwell. The Internship developed into the full time position of College Pastor. It was at Hyde Park that Jeff met the love of his life, Julie, a graduate of the University of Texas in Austin. Jeff and Julie moved to the Dallas area to serve in churches in the Metroplex. After many years God opened the door for them to return to Austin to serve at Crestview. They have been at Crestview since 2009 and can’t wait to see what God is going to do in this church located in the heart of Austin. Jeff and Julie have 2 kids and enjoy volunteering at their schools. Jeff loves to explore Skyrim, grill out on his patio, and sketch like Van Gogh. jeffc@crestview.net
